Cementitious urethane systems are heavy-duty, seamless, low odor resurfacers designed for areas that are often subjected to thermal shock, high impact, as well as aggressive cleaning & sanitizing regimens. They are typically used in food & beverage processing facilities, commercial kitchens, coolers, and freezer areas where they are highly bacterial resistant. Cementitious urethanes can be self-leveling (1/16”-1/4”) slurry or trowel-applied (1/4-1/2”) systems offering greater flexibility than traditional epoxy systems as they are self-priming, with superior bond capacity to concrete substrates, and with built-in moisture tolerance up to 25 lbs./1,000 sq. ft./24 hour using the calcium chloride test method per ASTM F-1869 or 99% relative humidity using in-situ relative humidity test method per ASTM F-2170. These systems can also be installed in as few as 7 days after the concrete pour.
The cementitious urethane can also be installed as a base matrix for decorative broadcast overlays using colored quartz aggregates, as well as polymer and mica flakes. Microbe◊BLOK, an anti-microbial film preservative can provide comprehensive protection against bacterial and fungal attack when hygiene & sanitation are critical considerations.
